Top 5 Receivers in the AFC [2017]
The AFC is loaded with some extreme high-level, wide-out talent. It is hard to determine who is the best going into the 2017 NFL season. But once we weigh the stats of the 2016 NFL season, going into 2017 we can see 5 receivers, from which their numbers provide proof of, top 5 status in the AFC.
5. A.J Green

2016 Statistics;
- Games played: 10
- Receptions: 66
- Receiving Yards: 964
- Touchdowns: 4
- Receiving yards per reception: 14.6
A.J Green is at number 5 only due to his unfortunate injury. He is a dynamic receiver who can jump over anyone with his long frame, and make incredible plays. He had been outstanding this season and would have easily finished with at least 1300 or more yards! how i can determine that? easy look at his receiving yards per reception, 14.6 is the second highest total on this list, and with those potential numbers that is enough to prove his spot on this list.
4. Jarvis "Juice" Landry

2016 Statistics;
- Games played: 16
- Receptions: 94
- Receiving yards: 1136
- Touchdowns:4
- Receiving yards per reception: 12.1
The juice is loose! one of the most dynamic and entertaining receiver to watch in the NFL. He takes the number 4 spot on this list. He is easily a top-5 receiver in the AFC for years to come, he has been consistent as he does not miss a game and is ready to play with tenacity, every time he steps on the field. Those numbers and his consistency helped the dolphins reach the playoffs, thus, determining him as a top 5 receiver was easy.
3. Amari Cooper

2016 statistics:
- Games played: 16
- Receptions: 83
- Receiving yards: 1153
- Touchdowns: 5
- Receiving yards per reception: 13.9
Amari Cooper a very below the radar, underrated receiver. He is an amazing route-running, strong, and dynamic receiver. But is barely ever mentioned when talking about the best receivers. He is consistent, plays with heart and is very shifty with his body, leading to his tacklers missing. He has amazing numbers this past year and going into 2017 their should be no doubt that he is a Top-3 receiver in the AFC.
2. T.Y Hilton

2016 statistics:
- Games played: 16
- Receptions: 91
- Receiving yards: 1448
- Touchdowns: 6
- Receiving yards per reception: 15.9
Did he drop it? nah. Hilton is a the visual representation of a how a receiver is supposed to be. He is on a whole different level, corner-backs cannot cover him, leading to a ridiculous 15.9! yes you read that right 15.9 receiving yards per reception, that outstanding number is the highest on this list. With his consistent play year after year and his great skills don't expect him to drop-off from being number 1 or 2 on peoples list as the best receiver in the AFC.
1. Antonio Brown

2016 Statistics:
- Games played: 15
- Receptions: 106
- Receiving yards: 1284
- Touchdowns: 12
- Receiving yards per reception: 12.1
Who else but A.B? *mic-drop*. Never mind that, but seriously who else can it be, Brown is a amazing receiver plays with consistency and has no major drop-offs in his performance for years now, his ability to catch the football and use his body to catch it are on a different level, with 106 receptions we can see why he is one of the most important part of the Steelers offense and why he is number 1 in the AFC.
